To submit your video, please send it via e-mail to jim.messenger@sportessex.org.uk or if it is already up on www.youtube.com please forward us the website address of your video.
Terms and Conditions for submitting a video
sportessex believe that one of the best ways to promote the value of sport is to let the sportsmen and women of Essex tell the stories through video , and provide a facility for uploading video clips onto the sportessex website . sportessex has a duty to make sure that any video content is appropriate before it is uploaded onto the website, to ensure that no regulations are breached, no offence is caused to those viewing the content, and those featured in the clips are not put at any risk as a result. In conjunction with the NSPCC's Child Protection in Sport Unit therefore, sportessex has compiled the following guidelines which must be met before you submit your video. By submitting your video you will be agreeing to comply with the following:
- All videos should be appropriate for the following stated purpose: "to promote your sport, club or/and facilities."
- The video should present a positive image of the sport.
- Participants should be shown wearing appropriate sports and safety wear
- Activities depicted should be inclusive and importantly promote fun and enjoyment.
- Your video complies with any guidelines provided by the relevant National Governing Body. If you require more guidance from your relevant National Governing Body please refer to the sport specific pages under 'try a new sport'.
- The video complies with YouTube 'Community Guidelines' (provide the link to these guidelines http://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines
- If the video footage includes children and young people under the age of 18, the following guidelines must be adhered to in addition to the above:
- Footage is only used with the written consent of the parent/s and the children/young people to the video footage being used in promotional material on the internet.
- Parents and children should be clear about the purpose and nature of the footage, how it will be used, to whom it will be available on the website, and for how long.
- Footage should not include or link to information that could be used to identify, trace or contact the children or young people featured.
sportessex will pre-verify all video content , and hold the right to prevent the posting of any video which we deem to be inappropriate or which contravenes the guidelines above.
